Welcome back to another blog here on DOTK, check out my other blogs, podcasts, YouTube, social media and more. I hope you all is having a blessed and lovely day, if not hopefully Jesus can make it better and this blog will help bring encouragement and stronger faith to you somehow. Now let's get into this blog.

If you been following me on Instagram @daughters__oftheking then you know I scheduled all the topics in February and had my followers pick which topics they'll like to hear. I been dropping gems for y'all for the blogs and podcast episodes. Unfortunately, I am not doing the spiritual warfare episode/blog at this moment, I had a guest-collaboration setup and everything and God had moved in the spirit to do "Grace" instead. This is God's God's ministry, not mine and I do what saith the Lord. I humbled myself and let him take the lead instead of trying to do my own thing. Just wanted to share that with y'all. Be obedient to God there's an reason why he wants me to do grace, honestly I think everyone can benefit from this blog and mu upcoming podcast episode on Thursday 2/23.

Grace is the Hebrew word chanan or the Greek word charis, meaning “the state of kindness and favor toward someone.

For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.

I've actually been studying Ephesians very heavily and God wants us to know he has grace that never runs out all because of Jesus Christ (2 Corinthians 12:9). Grace is something we can never work for. You cannot work yourself to Heaven. I know in a society, where we work for what we want it is not like that with God. Its based off what Jesus already did for us, we can never do anything to get ourselves to Heaven. Jesus already paid that price is all up to whether you believe and confess by mouth he is Lord (Romans 10:9-10). It's also on whether you follow Christ.

God is so gracious I cannot stress that enough he doesn't based it off whether we deserve it or what we do or don't do he genuinely freely gives it. Every action God does it soely based off grace when he sent Jesus to die for us, our gift of salvation, his creation, conviction, equipping and so much more. Grace is who he is.

For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation for all people, training us to renounce ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright, and godly lives in the present age, waiting for our blessed hope, the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ, who gave himself for us to redeem us from all lawlessness and to purify for himself a people for his own possession who are zealous for good works.

Everyone on this earth has experienced God's grace somehow because again it's not based on what you did but it's based on who God is. God's grace can look like you having a near miss from what could've been accident, when you was so close to failing an important exam, when you got out of toxic situations just in time, when you was thinking about ending your life but then someone that cared randomly call/text you, and more. There's so many ways God is gracious to us. Romans 5:8 But God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. I don't know about you sis but there was so many instances I could've died I remember a long time ago I was working at my first job "Taco Bell" I was about 16 years old back in 2018 and I was leaving from work and this car almost hit I had I not stepped back. That was God's grace that kept me and there was honestly so many more instances of God's grace over my life. God's grace was never about you deserving it. God created the sun just to give us enough sunlight on earth then created the moon so we know when it was time for bed. He created all these wonderful things all by His grace.

God's grace provides us with an opportunity to Glorify him more. We make mistakes everyday and because of repentance another form of gods grace we are forgiven. The greatest gift of god's grace is Jesus Christ because if he wasn't for him dying for our sins we wouldn't be forgiven and we would perish but God's grace was amazing that he wanted us to be reconciled back to him. John 3:16-17 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. We've all sinned and fallen short but God's grace covers a multitude of sins.

This doesn't mean to do what you want and sin all you want because is all-knowing and he knows when you're abusing his grace which is honestly disrespectful to God and it means you don't fear him. A lot of lukewarm Christians do this, they abuse his grace thinking they keep living how they are one foot in the world one foot with God and that's not how it works. Yes God loves you but he doesn't love your sin. Sin keeps you away from God and could keep you away eternally (hell) if you don't repent. Repentance means to turn your life around literally to go the right direction, God's direction. Don't abuse God's grace, repent, and accept God's grace as a free gift.

James 4:17 So whoever knows the right thing to do and fails to do it, for him it is sin.

Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Romans 3:23 For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,

1 John 1:8-10 If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.

Despite how far away you may stray from God, His grace is what pulls you back, his grace is what had me knowing that there's more to life and how I want to have a relationship with my creator. The same way God shows grace he also wants us to show grace to others. God wants us to love others, show grace, mercy and forgiveness. By us doing that we glorify God's kingdom and other people recognize it's God working in us not our own doing.

What's an area of your life that needs grace? How can you show grace to others?

God's mercy is when we are spared punishment that we do deserve. God’s mercy means His pity, compassion, and kindness toward people. His mercy shows up in the believer’s life at salvation, and then God continues to show mercy in forgiveness. Mercy triumphs over judgment. God's mercy is different from His grace. When God is merciful he is patient, it's beyond our understanding, and we see this all throughout the Bible. Just like god's grace never runs out his mercy doesn't either. Mercy triumphs over judgment, but refusing mercy is disastrous, inviting judgment. God’s judgment for sin is never unjust. “His judgment is always the result of mercy that was offered and refused. God only wants us to repent, when judgement is coming. He doesn't bring judgement to harm us but to lead us to repentance so we can fear him not in a worldly fear but a biblical fear. Fearing God means you respect him. Psalm 111:10 The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom; all those who practice it have a good understanding. His praise endures forever!

Manasseh was a wicked king of Judah, he worshipped false Gods sacrifice his own sons, it was just so bad. God punished by taking him into captivity. Then he humbled himself. God was merciful towards him and even allowed him to be king again. "Now when he was in affliction, he implored the Lord his God, and humbled himself greatly before the God of his fathers, and prayed to Him; and He received his entreaty, heard his supplication, and brought him back to Jerusalem into his kingdom. Then Manasseh knew that the Lord was God. 2 Chronicles 33:12-13

2 Corinthians 9:8 And God is able to make all grace abound to you so that having all sufficiency in all things at all times, you may abound in every good work.
John 1:16-17 For from his fullness we have all received, grace upon grace. For the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ. (ESV)
Romans 3:23-24 ... for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and are justified by his grace as a gift, through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus ... (ESV)
Romans 6:14 For sin will have no dominion over you, since you are not under law but under grace. (ESV)

Prayer for God's Grace:

We ask you, Oh Lord God, to show us your divine grace and be the merciful God we know. Save us from evil and his works, and grant us eternal rest in your perfect peace in heaven. Fill us with your grace and mercy, dear Lord, and deliver us from our sins and the death they bring In Jesus name Amen.
