Welcome back to my blog, I'm Dasia, the host of Daughters of The King, a ministry to help cultivate women through Christ.
Know Your Worth: is to know who you truly are in Christ, to know and believe who God says you are.
From the very beginning the society conditions you to attach your worth, to the things you own- education, marriage, business, net worth, appearance, social circle and achievements. This is not where your worth is defined. Your true worth is only found in Jesus.
That's why Satan has people in these identity crises because if you don't know who you truly are through the one who created you, it's so much easier to fall into Satan traps and believe what he says which are lies.
John 8:44 You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your father’s desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies.
God created all of us in his image (Gensis 1:27) to fellowship with Him, follow His ways, draw others to His mercy and grace. Knowing your worth is a command in this Christian journey. According to, Matthew 22:37 it says to love God, love others as yourself. Note that the only way you can find your true worth is through God. Then the only way you can love others is by loving yourself the way God sees you.
See yourself through Christ lens.
We live in a society where people are so in a rush to get into a relationship, people idolize relationships, and try to love people when they haven't even discovered their first love (God). Then heartbreak, broken families, even abuse happens because people are always trying to do things without God. The Bible says apart from me you can do nothing. Some people even get themselves into things and ask God to bless it, God isn't going to bless "sin" he's not going to tell you to marry someone who doesn't know how to love God, himself, or you. God is a God of order not confusion. Confusion comes from the enemy.
Loving others isn't just about romantic relationships but also friendships and your family members even strangers. You must know how to love correctly and that can only be done through Jesus. Know your worth don't you ever settle for temporary things. God sees your insecurities, your flaws, sins, and he wants you to establish a relationship with him and repent. If you already have a relationship with God, what are you believing about yourself that God says otherwise, ask God to search your heart and remove the lies that the enemy has caused you to believe.
