Pursuing your purpose, Romanticizing your singleness, Was Paul right?
In a society where putting a person over God is normalized, I am here to debunk it and center the focus back to Jesus.
Welcome to my blog, My name is Dasia the host of Daughters of The King Ministries, I am here to spread the gospel all while encouraging God's daughters. Today I will be discussing the significance of finding your purpose before being with your God-given person.

In the beginning:
Genesis 2, states the Lord made the man out of the dust from the ground and gave him life to become a living being. God then planted a garden in Eden and he placed the man he had formed. Skipping over to verse 15-20 it states...
15 The LORD God took the man and put him in the garden of Eden to work it and keep it. 16 And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, “You may surely eat of every tree of the garden,
17 but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die.”
18 Then the LORD God said, “It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him a helper fit for him.”
19 Now out of the ground the LORD God had formed every beast of the field and every bird of the heavens and brought them to the man to see what he would call them. And whatever the man called every living creature, that was its name.
20 The man gave names to all livestock and to the birds of the heavens and to every beast of the field. But for Adam Genesis 2:15-20
As you can see, immediately God already had an purpose from Adam and for every human when he first created the earth, heavens and us. Look closely at the above verses let the Holy Spirit reveal to you , your God-given purpose. Adam's purpose was to tend to Garden of Eden, notice the Lord also allowed him to eat. Your purpose will have God's favor following you sis! Adam had one job to not eat that ONE tree. That's how the enemy works, God blesses us and the enemy causes us to have "lust of the eyes" after that ONE thing we don't have either yet or because it's simply not God's will like in Adam's case. Adam named the animals and did what God commanded, he obeyed God, walked in His purpose, because to be fair Eve ate the fruit. Everyone blames Adam because he is the man of God and a man of God suppose to lead because Eve didn't know any better but Adam he did.
This is going to make so much more sense when you listen to my podcast on Thursday for now keep reading sis.
The whole point is this Adam was focused on His purpose before an person. Your question may be... Why is it so important to do this? The reason it is vital to be in your purpose not just know it but be totally into it with Jesus is because when your in your purpose, you go to God, you establish an relationship with Him because automatically in order to know and be in your purpose you must know The One who Created you which is the Most High God. When you first seek the kingdom of God (Matthew 6:33), all else will be added. You don't have to beg someone to see your worth, you don't have to comment under a MOG post so he can notice you, you don't have to do anything BUT seek God first above all else!
Having an relationship with God is so important and I cannot stress this enough.. you need Him.. you need Jesus.. and you need the Holy Spirit. If your relationship with God isn't right how can you pour into other relationships like family, friends, boyfriend, husband, kids, etc. God should be the most important thing in our lives and His word is sharper than any two-edged sword which can help guide us. The deeper you go with God the better those other relationships will be as long their according to His will. To have a relationship with God start by reading your bible, prayer, church, confessing your sins, overall inviting Him into your life. Let me tell you about my Lord and Savior he is so gentle, he would never intrude your space without an invite.

Revelations 3:20 Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with that person, and they with me.
23 Then the man said, “This at last is bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh; she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man.”24 Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife, and they shall become one flesh. 25 And the man and his wife were both naked and were not ashamed. Genesis 2:23-25
Once Adam completed the work God told him to do, once he established his purpose. God gave him a wife, noticed how the above verse said she was taken out of man. Sis, you're somebody's missing rib and let him find you. Proverbs 18:22 He who finds a wife finds what is good and receives favor from the LORD. Adam had His purpose before Eve. Let that sink in.

Pursing Your Purpose:
Your God-given purpose captures the heart of why you are on this earth and why Jesus died for you. It defines your entire life not by you but by God.
In order to walk in your purpose, your going to have to give up your life to Christ, as I stated in my previous blog. It requires full submission to God, most people would submit to human being but can't even submit to God. There's so much more to life then what society has got us to believe it's not just about getting a bag. Quite frankly, your purpose does the opposite, it's about God not you. Yes there's Christians out there who may be in their purpose and also making an income but that may come later not in the beginning. God knows our hearts he knows if we are doing things out of selfish-ambitions or out of humility of others.
“and [so that you will begin to know] what the immeasurable and unlimited and surpassing greatness of His [active, spiritual] power is in us who believe…” —Ephesians 1:19 AMP
“This is to my Father’s glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples. I have told you this so that my joy may be in you and that your joy may be complete.” —John 15:8, 11 NIV
“All of you together are Christ’s body…” —1 Corinthians 12:27 NLT

God created you for purpose there's a sole reason why you're on this earth and God wants to help you fulfill that. “For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand so that we would walk in them.” —Ephesians 2:10
The way you can find your purpose is by understanding the role of spiritual gifts in your life. Spiritual gifts are given by God and you can learn about the different gifts by reading the Bible. Finding out your purpose can be quite confusing at times but your purpose is usually what you're good at but also afraid of doing. People can have different gifts such as ministry gifts, manifestation gifts, and motivational gifts. I suggest reading 1 Corinthians 12 for more in depth revelation. Do not neglect your spiritual gifts it's all for a purpose 1 Timothy 4:14.
As much you try to run away from your purpose, you can't it'll follow you. Think about Jesus, Moses, Joseph, Abraham, Jacob, Isaac in the Bible their purpose followed him them. For the women it was Naomi, Ruth, Esther, and more. Ruth walked into her purpose and while doing so she served Naomi. Purpose is about serving others.
Ruth 1:16 But Ruth said, “Do not urge me to leave you or to return from following you. For where you go I will go, and where you lodge I will lodge. Your people shall be my people, and your God my God.
Your purpose is determined before it is discovered. Also there's purpose in every place. For example, Jesus sent the disciples two by twos , they all had different testimonies, different gifts, went to different cities to thes ole thing preach the gospel. I don't know if y'all watched "The Chosen" on Angel Studios it's totatlly free and the pefect show for the life of Jesus including his disicples, family, ministry etc.
“Follow the way of love and eagerly desire spiritual gifts…try to excel in gifts that build up the church.” —1 Corinthians 14:1, 12 NIV
Proverbs 16:4 The Lord has made everything for its purpose, even the wicked for the day of trouble.
For instance I grew up shy and reserved but here am now speaking to you, making blogs, podcasts, and much more. There's other things God is calling me to do such as be an prayer intercessor at my local church. Does that scare me? Heck yes. Do I love praying? Also yes. I know that God's strength is made perfect in my weakness. Sometimes the very thing you're weak of but also pretty good at God wants to use that area of your life to bring revival. Ephesians 2:10
For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.
Even Jesus had a purpose, in the Bible he talked a lot about how His time has not yet come, know that there is a specific time to bein your purpose. It's God's timing who's perfect. When Jesus time came he did so many powerful things through the Heavenly Father such as heal the sick, help peter catch fish, made disciples, preached the gospels, took on the sins of the world so we can have eternal life and much more. Imagine if Jesus never walked into His purpose what if he would've said no to God. We wouldn't have a savior , we wouldn't have forgiveness of our sins, eternal life, and freedom. In fact, right before Jesus died on the cross he prayed to God because he didn't want to do it but he wanted God's will. Often times, we are not going want to do that thing God calls us to that's what makes it special that's how you know it's your calling.
Sis, stop telling God no. You never know who's waiting you, who's inspired by you, the generational curses you can break and much more God has in store for you. I remember sitting in my car I actually was getting Bo-jangles lol.. this was in 2022 and God spoke to me so clearly too. He told me that I have people waiting on me to do the thing he's called me to do. I cried. Imagine if I had sat on that vision, you wouldn't be reading this, you wouldn't be listening to my podcast, all this say is stop sitting on the vision. As Sarah Jakes said "Girl, Get Up!"
Your purpose won't be easy, it will come with a cost.
Don't abandon your first love (Jesus)

How to Walk In It? :
Live Authentically (Genesis 1:26) nobody else can be you but you so just be who God created you to be.
Stay Focused, refuse to engage in things that do not speak directly to your purpose
Pray for God's direction
Read Your Bible, the blind can't lead the blind
God's approval over man's approval, be okay with people judging you, misunderstanding you, continue to seek God's face and please him
Fight, the enemy will attack you more when you're in your purpose, fight back he has no authority but God has given you authority here on earth (Genesis 1:28)
There's so many things God inquire us to do on this earth, we are truly here for a reason, everyone has an assignment whether that be a prophet, preacher, minister, deliverer etc.
Sis, there is work God wants you to do for His kingdom, in a world full of hookup culture, choosing a person over God, normalizing cheating, toxicity, divorce and more. Sis do NOT settle, do not feed into the enemies lies, the Bible isn't a bunch of rules it's God's love to mankind to protect us.
Maybe you're like me you've been there choose someone over God, allowed toxicity, and had no idea what you we're here on earth for. Well I got you, see my purpose is to help women lost or saved doesn't matter. I've found my purpose and pursued it back October 2022. If it's one thing I can say is that now that I am in my purpose I ain't worried about no person, I have been focused on God, yes there's times I'm like wondering about my future spouse but it's God's timing not mine.
If Jesus isn't enough nothing will ever be, *read that again*
You have to be content in where the Lord have you now and be a good steward what he's giving you now. Ask yourself questions like "how can I serve?" "how can I spread the gospel?" "what gifts do I have?" things of that nature. Choosing a person over God isn't worth it whether it's your parents you keep people-pleasing, that boyfriend you keep sleeping with, that friend you keep partaking in sin with.. sis it's not you and it's not worth it.
Why settle for the world's mess, when you can have God's best?

Romanticizing your singleness:
The best way to romanticize your singleness is by getting to know God. You can't love yourself unless you first love God. Then in order to love others it's vital to love and develop a relationship with God to then love yourself as others as John 13:34 states "A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another."
I am a single woman of God by myself and I'm still figuring this thing out so I'm only giving you biblical advice and my personal experiences to help you. I've been pursuing singleness for about 8 months now. I am well aware of the common mistakes most Christians women make, the struggles, the wondering, trust me sis I know.
The best advice I can give is do not treat your singleness as a burden or wishing you was married already. Truly, you don't know what the Lord has planned and His will is for us to be fruit and mutilply. There's things the Lord has to do in your life and your future spouse which is called preparation. Then if you're not even in your purpose, you shouldn't be worried about a person. There's so many people who are out chasing the wrong things. God has a purpose for you. Doing things out of the godly order lead to consequences, chaos, sin and so much more. God made marriage a covenant to protect us not control us. If he wanted to control us we would've been robots. Your singleness should be the moment you spend time with God, doing those things you always wanted to do, taking those trips, meeting new people, going on intentional dates, and so much more. Obviously, God isn't going to drop our husbands off at our door step, even though that would be nice coming from an introvert, however it is so important to get out how can God send you someone if you're not in position.
Make a list for you not your spouse, focus on the things you need to work on, so many people want this perfect person and a godly relationship but are you godly too? You want a man of God but are you a woman of God? You want to be a proverbs 31 woman but do you get up early? Do you have self-discipline? Do you have financial management and give God your first fruits? It's questions like these you need to ask yourself sis. Asking those hard questions will expose your heart, so God can work on it which by the way isn't easy.
Lastly, do not idolize marriage, anything you put before God is an idol. You have no idea what life is going to hold what will happen tomorrow so don't base your life on "what ifs". Place your ultimate hope in Jesus and imitating him. Guard your heart as the bible says in Proverbs 4:23. Trust in the Lord. Singleness is a waiting season be patient there's so much to do now for God's kingdom focus on your purpose. Don't waste this time every second is precious sis.
Paul encouraged singleness as a gift, treat it as such.
Matthew 20:16 So the last shall be first, and the first last: for many be called, but few chosen.
God Saves The Best For Last, Sis Be Encouraged!
